Apparently one rarely recognizes historic moments as one lives through them, and only in retrospect does their significance emerge. Nevertheless, we probably all realize that the creation and implementation of linguistic school boards in Québec on July 1st, 1998 represents something of a watershed in the evolution of education in the English community. Through sharing and learning, the creative ability of our consolidated school community will help to provide quality education for all of our students. The ABCs of English Schools in Québec highlights some of these new beginnings. We hope that you will put these resources to work to build a network of learning communities in which students will find success.
